Now you get the chance to clean more frequently go the extra step beyond your usual cleaning routine. Get rid of that pile of dishes in your sink and give your dusty books that you normally ignore a proper cleaning.
3. Reorder Your House And Mail.
Reorganizing your home couldn’t be done at a better time. Tidy your closet and desk, donate any stuff or clothes that you wouldn’t be needing anymore. This will open up more space for you to use for something else. And why not go the extra mile and redecorate your place for a new look.
In the same spirit, clean your email and spam message folder to open up some memory for your phone. Dust off and organize your electronics too. You can take this time to open some space in your life and de-clutter it, it will push you to your success when things go back to normal. 4. Now Is Time To Watch That Show You Wanted.
With the sheer amount of streaming services available, many are cheap and free. Now is the time to watch some new content and get comfy on your couch with a hot beverage. Whether it is that series you can’t wait to watch, or rewatching some old favorites, the timing couldn’t be perfect. Plus, you can always find that movie you missed in theaters available online.
5. Pick Up A Book.
You can escape the home without leaving your door by picking a good book. You don’t always have the time to sit down and enjoy reading a good book. This staycation is the opportunity to go to the bookshelf and explore some new plots and stories.
6. Enjoy Good Spa Day.
It might be a while since the last time you treated yourself to some self-care. Get that nail color you’ve always wanted or that hairstyle you’ve been dying to try. Give yourself a luxurious bath and that much needed facial. Take the available time and use it to treat yourself with a good spa and relaxing day.
7. Try Learning New Things.
One can never get enough of learning, especially with more available time. Use online platforms such as Skillshare or LinkedIn Learning to take online classes. Not only this will enable to get more knowledge, but additional certification from platforms such as Google or Facebook, can always come in handy and make you more employable. You can always watch documentaries about something you’re curious about if online classes aren’t your thing. The thing is to use this time to learn something new, whether it is learning a new recipe or a new instrument.
8. Keep In Touch With Your Loved Ones.
Because of all that’s happening, we can’t see our family, friends, and loved ones. But with technology, we don’t even feel like we’re apart from them. Try Facetiming them, text them consistently, reach out to your friends and family members you haven’t talked to in a long time, and enjoy doing that. This might be a hard period, but keeping in touch with the ones you love is definitely key to forgetting all of the uneasiness and anxiety.
9. Try exercising at home.
Whatever happens, DON’t go to the gym in this period, at least until the authorities tell you that it’s safe. You can always try exercising at home, there are plenty of things you can do at home, if you’re not into that, take a walk around your neighborhood, dance at home, or run early in the morning. 10. Start That Project You’ve Always Wanted.
We all have that one thing we’ve been wanting to do for so long. And yet, we cannot seem to make the time for it. Now is the time to start it. Get your plan in motion whatever it is, and do not procrastinate anymore. Do the necessary research and get as much information as you can so that you can start your project with a solid plan. It is time to let your ideas shine and seize this once in a lifetime opportunity
We should all thank this virus because it gave us the opportunity to take some time for ourselves, a chance to self-reflect and practice self-care. So don’t waste this precious opportunity on stressing out about what’s going on with the world, enjoy yourself and don’t forget to think positively and spread positive thoughts around your loved ones instead of panicking.
