Telephones are broken, checks are lost, contracts are misunderstood, meetings are crowded and confusion reigns in almost every conversation. Welcome to Retrograde Mercury.
The good news is that everyone, regardless of their sign, is in a state of turmoil. The bad news is this: No one is safe from the disruptive forces of this infamous transit.
So what are you supposed to do for the next three weeks? First of all, don’t panic. With a little foresight (and some articles from our retrograde Mercury Survival Pack!) you can avoid some big mistakes and even succeed this season. Here we tell you what to do – and what not to do – during the Mercury graduation so you can emerge a winner!
What not to do during Mercury degradation
Read the small print
Don’t sign any contract without checking the fine print three times. Mercury causes devastating damage to communications, so make sure you know exactly what you are signing or who you are accepting before you do so. If something looks suspicious, wait, and ask questions. And make sure you have enough reference material to confirm your actions. For example, if someone agrees to something verbally, send an email to make sure there’s a paper trail and that you’re both on the same page.
delay digital updates
Don’t buy new electronics. If you can avoid it, upgrade your flatscreen or smartphone when Mercury moves to the next phase. Either way, electronics could get crazy. It’s best to keep what you have until the planets come out.
Don’t talk behind people’s backs. You shouldn’t do that anyway! But you can be sure that the person you’re talking to will hear you (or read the text or see the email) in the next few weeks. At the end of the fallback season, assume that everything you say will be heard by virtually everyone around you – this is good practice and awareness for the rest of the year!
